Yesterday was the YMCA Taekwondo Kick-a-Thon! And since I am in Taekwondo classes, I was performing!

Every year, the YMCA holds a Kick-a-Thon to raised money for poor children. This year’s Kick-a-Thon was part of the YMCA Megathon. The Megathon is a series of events to try and raise money for the poor children.

Every Kick-a-Thon, the students perform 1000 kicks, in the air but not on other students. Then they do a demonstration. Depending on the belt, each group does different things. For example, break a board, or do a pattern (a pattern is a pattern of blocks, punches, kicks etc.). The whole kick-a-Thon takes about one hour and 30 minutes.

It was very tiring for me in this year's Kick-a-Thon yesterday but it was worth it!
