Before
Christmas last year, 5-year-old Alex Nash got an invitation for a Birthday
Party but cannot come.
Later,
Alex came back from school with a brown envelope. It was from Julie Lawrence,
the Birthday boy’s mother. Inside there was a fee for Alex’s parents which was
almost 29.00$. But they refuse to pay. Lawrence roughly agreed with Alex. The
result is Lawrence’s son wasn’t allowed to play with Alex at school.
I
think Lawrence made a bad decision to make a fee. I think that because if one
friend didn’t come to your party it wouldn’t make much of a difference because
your other friends are there. Plus, how are five-year-olds supposed to make
money? Alex also does not does not want to come, he just can’t come and
Lawrence should just roll with it. I also don’t think anything like that should
be legal.
If
someone misses your birthday party, don’t ever give them a fee.
